Download, upload and restore
Save a personal world to your computer, overwrite it from a save, or go back to an earlier hour. Uploads and restores overwrite the map, so read this before you start.

Choose what to do
Everything happens in the Map console, and each action asks for your website password.
| I want to… | Per day | Changes the map? |
|---|---|---|
| Save the world to my computer as a backup | 2 | No |
| Replace the map's regions with a local save | 2 | Overwrites |
| Go back to a point in the last 24 hours | 3 | Overwrites |
Daily counts follow Beijing time.
Download a map
- Select the world in the Map console and click “Download map”.
- Tick the confirmation, enter your website password and click “Start export”.
- The download starts automatically once packing finishes.
You get a standalone world that unpacks into the saves folder of Minecraft 26.3 single-player, with build coordinates, chests and entities intact. 2096 worlds carry their own height definition and need no server plugin.
- The content comes from the latest completed hourly backup, so recent changes may only appear after the next round. A new world needs one successful backup first.
- The file is kept for about 2 hours. If a download breaks, continue it under “Downloads in progress” without using another attempt.
- You can also type
/vpdownloadin game. It opens the website page and shares the same daily count. - Other dimensions, player inventories and server configuration aren't included, and shared map art data isn't moved for now.
Upload a map
The region files in your archive overwrite files of the same name in the world. This replaces files and doesn't merge them: any region in the archive is replaced whole. Uploads only work on the website, not in game.
- First download a backup.
- Click “Upload map” and choose a ZIP of up to 1 GiB.
- Enter your website password, tick the confirmation and click “Start upload”.
- Keep the page open until it shows the file was received, then wait for the on-site result. Don't enter the world before it finishes.
You can upload: a complete single-player world ZIP (old flat or 26.x layout, or with a single outer world folder). Packages exported from the website can go straight back.
Only this gets written: validated .mca files and matching .mcc files from the overworld's region, entities and poi, after checks on version, coordinates, height and chunk content.
Never imported: level.dat, data packs, mods, player inventories and positions, server configuration. Access type and lists don't change. Command blocks or command minecarts with executable commands are rejected.
Hourly backup restore
The server keeps an hourly snapshot for the last 24 hours, and you can return the world to one of them.
- Click “Hourly backup restore” and pick a time. Picking only shows the list and doesn't touch the map.
- Enter your website password and click “Confirm restore”.
- When you're told it finished, enter the world again to check.
A restore copies the snapshot's files back over the world. Files that aren't in the snapshot are not deleted.
What happens during an upload or restore
- Players in the world are sent back to spawn
- The map unloads and locks
- Files are written, or rolled back on failure
- You get the result and the map unlocks
Don't enter the world until writing finishes. A dropped connection doesn't mean processing stopped, so wait for the on-site result, and don't resubmit or force a load.
If it fails
| What happened | Map | Attempt |
|---|---|---|
| The transfer didn't finish, preparation failed, or the task expired | Nothing written yet | Returned |
| The file arrived but failed validation | Nothing written | Not returned |
| Writing failed | Rolled back automatically | Not returned |
| The page shows “Administrator review required” | Stays locked | Not returned, and don't resubmit |
For the last case, contact staff through Apply / feedback. A restore uses its attempt just before writing begins and doesn't return it afterward.
